Too Late (Poem)

Sit with me

Sorry I’m so boring

Sorry I ran away

I guess its too late to change

Long car rides

short hugs goodnight

support in my darkest times-

all just memories in my mind.

If I had just one wish,

I would wish for this:

The gift to make you understand

you were all I wanted in a man

until you left me all alone.

If you had listened close,

then you would have known

that I needed room to breathe

but that I loved you and me

and together we could have grown.

Now it’s much too late-

what a sick twist of fate.
