2022 New Year’s Resolutions
There is something so special about the start of a new year. I always look forward to having a fresh start to set my goals for the year and have something to work towards. Here are some of my New Year’s Resolutions for the year 2022.
- Finish my book
Last April I starting writing my first book and am now working on the editing process. By December, I want to have this book completed, polished, and ready for publishing.
- Put myself out there
In the past, I have struggled with my confidence. Keeping to myself became a habit born from fear of being judged. This year, I want to change that. I want to be more brave and focus on experiencing more in my life.
- Work on photography
Photography has always been a hobby of mine, but I haven’t put in the time to truly learn my camera.
- Blog weekly
Posting on this blog is truly fun for me and I love experimenting with different types of posts, so I want to make it a part of my routine.
- Cook more often
Trying new foods has always been a bit scary for me, but I want to get out of my comfort zone and incorporate more of a variety onto my plate.
- Be optimistic
Keeping a positive mind has been a struggle, especially over the past couple of years. I want to make a conscious effort to have a more optimistic mindset and not get held back with stress.
- Cut back on social media
Mindlessly consuming social media has been an awful habit I developed last year. I want to cut down my screen time, especially when it comes to watching TikTok.
- Drive more
I have had my license for years, but I only drive when I absolutely need to. I want to get more comfortable on the road and on the highway this year and break through that fear.
- Celebrate the minor victories
There are so many unexpected things that can happen in a year. When good things happen, I want to be present and truly enjoy every victory.
- Learn a song on guitar
I have had an acoustic guitar for years and only know how to strum a few chords. I want to learn at least one song this year.
Happy New Year!
