5 Quick and Easy Breakfast Ideas
Whether you are running late for school/ work or you just don’t want to spend a lot of time cooking breakfast in the morning, here are some of my favorite breakfast ideas that take little time to prepare!
- Greek Yogurt
On it’s own, Greek yogurt is already delicious and filled with protein. To add a little more substance, I like to top mine with some granola, pretzels, or a bit of dry cereal (usually bran) or have some fruit, like a banana, on the side.
2. Fruit Smoothie
You can buy these prepared at the grocery store (personally I like the V8 brand the best), but I like to make my own in the morning. A little bit of frozen fruit and orange juice tossed into the blender— you’ll have a delicious and nutritious breakfast in minutes! This is the perfect breakfast to take with you on the go.
I love the Quaker brand oatmeal. It takes less than two minutes inn the microwave and keeps you full for hours. Top with some cinnamon and fruit for some extra flavor.
Strawberry jelly is my go-to topping when I am looking for something light in the morning. If I need something that will keep me fuller longer, then I opt for some peanut butter and banana. This was my favorite breakfast while I was in high school.
5. Granola Bars
If you are in a real time crunch, a granola bar is better than nothing at all. My favorite brand is “Nature Valley.” If you are more of a fan of fruit in the morning, Nutrigrain has some delicious breakfast bars in blueberry, strawberry, apple, etc.
