“Just Tell Me” Poem

Just Tell Me

By Ashley O’Hare

What did you tell them?

Was there a reason I was not included?

If you don’t want me around,

just tell me.

Speaking isn’t that complicated.

If this is too much for you,

then let me know.

I never wanted this attention;

I was hoping this could stay between us.

If you can find it in your heart, please let me go.

Those knives in my back hurt enough.

Whose idea was it to twist them around?
I’m sorry for opening up.

I’m sorry for losing my head in the clouds.

Don’t worry— I’m back on solid ground.
