“Lost” Poem

Lost

By Ashley O’Hare

Lost—

The little girl who had dreams.

The teen who saw only the best in people.

The student who pushed herself.

If found,

Proceed with caution

For she has grown quite tired.

Her dreams have contorted to nightmares.

She missed the warning signs of everyone she came across.

The academic pressure nearly pushed her over the ledge.

The red flags were so bright,

She was blinded

And knocked down.

But she survived.
