Change Your Perspective
By Ashley O’Hare
“Change your perspective.”
Perhaps the best advice
one could receive.
An Autumn lead is an eye sore—
a nuisance to a neatly cropped lawn.
As a home owner,
you will stress over disposal.
Come back down to Earth
and try again through the lens of a child.
Now you’ll recognize the colony of leaves
as pieces of a game.
Pile them together,
jump in,
and try again.
The leaves were never the problem.
We create problems,
then we make ourselves solve them.
That is not maturity.
That is idiocy.
