10 Playstation 4 Video Games You Need To Play

10 Playstation 4 Game Recommendations

  1. 7 Days to Die

I was gifted this game during the peak of my Walking Dead phase. 7 Days to Die is a zombie survival game. You can build your own base, scavenge for supplies, and kill zombies. What is great about this game is that it is has the option for both split-screen multiplayer and online multiplayer.

  1. Goat Simulator

This game was added to my library when it was free with Playstation Plus a couple of years ago. You can play solo or add another controller and wreak havoc over the city with a friend. You play as a goat and can use jetpacks, bicycles, etc. — the possibilities are truly endless. This game is hilarious in concept and is fun for everybody whether you are watching or playing.

  1. Outlast

Outlast has now become a series of its own, but the original is still my favorite. Is is a single player horror game that is perfect for the Halloween season. If you get scared easily, I would recommend playing this with a friend that you can hand the controller off to if need be. (My poor sister is has been given the controller in the midst of a chase sequence more times than I can count.)

  1. Spider-Man

2018’s Spider-Man by Insomniac Games is phenomenal. I have not completed the game myself yet, but what I have played is far beyond what I was expecting. I used to have a Spider-Man game on the GameCube when I was a kid and this PS4 game elevated that gaming experience while keeping the nostalgia. This game combines life as Peter Parker and Spider-Man perfectly with tasks unique to each identity. The quality of graphics and voice acting is better than anything I have personally seen in a long time.

  1. Avengers

If you are going through a Marvel phase, then I highly recommend Marvel’s Avengers for you. You get to play as some of your favorite Avengers as you follow through the story.

  1. Rayman Legends

I have always been a Rayman fan, but this game is my absolute favorite. It is both single player and multiplayer, so it is perfect for gaming with family and friends. There are so many characters and costumes to unlock as you complete more levels. This game also has a spot for weekly challenges that keep the game fresh and competitive. It is a light and fun game for everyone this summer.

  1. Q.U.B.E

Despite the fact that I am stuck on a level, I love this game. The controls are simple, but the game itself is a huge puzzle. This is another single player game, but it is fun to have someone with you to bounce ideas back and forth to get through the levels.

  1. The Last of Us

This was the first game I ever completed on my own. While The Last of Us was originally made for the PS3, it was remastered for the PS4, so the graphics are crisp and clean. This is another apocalypse survival themed game, but this one is story driven. The characters are well fleshed out and have powerful dynamics with one another. There are also several humorous scenes between them throughout the game.

  1. Detroit: Become Human

Detroit is another story driven game, but this time you have a say in how the story unfolds. This is the first game I have played where every little choice truly makes a different. You play as 3 different characters through the individual stories. There are several points where their paths will cross that are always exciting. This is a game that you can play over and over again.

  1. Hidden Agenda

If you are a Criminal Minds fan, this game is for you. It is a mystery/ crime themed game, but it’s a little different than all of the other games on this list. You do not use a Playstation controller for this game— you download an app on your phone or tablet and use that as your controller. If you are having a gathering of 3 or more people, this game is perfect. You have to vote on decisions to make in the game. There are other side missions that may pop up on your screen where you have to convince your group to vote one way or another to get more points. It is a lot of fun for everyone.
