10 Things to Do This Summer 2022
Summer 2022 is flying by, but there is still plenty of time to have fun while the weather is warm? Here are ten things on my bucket list that you can try too!
- Visit a Museum
Museums are a great way to learn something new in a fresh and beautiful environment. Find a local museum and dive in for a history / art crash course.
- Have a Photoshoot at Home
You don’t need any special equipment to capture this summer. Grab your phone and friends for a silly home photoshoot.
- Go to the Park
Find a local park with a nice view and plan a cute picnic. I would also recommend bringing a book to read. You can also visit a beach if you live on the coast for the same relaxing effect. Spending a day in nature is always refreshing. Don’t forget your sunscreen!
- See a Movie in Theaters
Find a movie you are interested in and watch it on the big screen. This summer, I highly recommend Top Gun: Maverick. Most theaters offer a less expensive ticket price if you opt for a matinee showing earlier in the day. Bonus points if you have a drive-in theater near you. Drive-ins make for the best summer memories.
- Have a “No Phone” Day
I know I am guilty of spending hours on my phone. It is a terrible habit that I am working to fix. Plan a day where you do not touch your phone for an entire 24 hours. This is something I have wanted to do for a while, but always chicken out.
- Go to a Concert
Though listening to the radio with the windows down at night is one of my favorite pastimes, seeing an artist live cannot be beat.
- Take a Class
There are usually yoga / fitness, art, and other community classes to participate in throughout the summer. Try something new with a no commitment one day class.
- Explore Your Town
Often times we take advantage of our car’s GPS and only drive from Point A to Point B. Set a day aside where you drive through your town and see what hidden treasures have been under your nose your whole life. You may find your new go-to breakfast shop.
- Make S’mores
Have a small bonfire in your backyard and roast some marshmallows for s’mores. If you have never tried a s’more before, you are truly missing out!
- Stargaze
Bonus points if you have a telescope to get a closer look at the unique constellations. Spend some time outside on a clear night and look up at the stars.
