My Favorite Snacks for a Productive Day

Proper nutrition and hydration are important when you are looking to get a lot of work done. When you have a jam packed schedule, it can be easy to mistakenly skip meals or ignore your hunger cues. Here are my favorite snacks that are delicious, filling, and easily accessible.

  1. Grapes

This fruit seems like it was made for preparing in a rush. All you have to do is give them a good wash and rip them off of the stem and you are good to go. My favorite are green grapes, but every kind are delicious and great for a snack on the go.

2. Apples

Another snack perfect for running out the door. If you have some extra time, you can cut up your apple and dip them in peanut butter for a more filling snack. I love cutting up my apples and topping them with some ground cinnamon in the mornings. It is delicious, quick and easy to make, and great for you.

3. Watermelon

Whenever watermelon is in season, I like to take advantage of it and have some cut up in a container in the refrigerator. When I cannot get my hands on watermelon, cantelope is a fantastic substitute. Both are sweet, tasty, and great for staying hydrated.

4. Bananas, Dark Chocolate, and Peanut Butter

I love freezing sliced bananas for an ice cream substitute. Topping frozen bananas with some peanut butter and a handful of dark chocolate chips is an easy treat that I always look forward to.

5. Greek Yogurt Bars

The brand Clio has some amazing chocolate covered greek yogurt bars. My favorite flavor is peach, but they also have strawberry and vanilla. This is a great substitute for candy bars when you are looking for a burst of energy.

7. Granola Bars

You can never go wrong with granola bars. From Quaker to Nature Valley, granola bars are delicious, widely available at any store, and have great flavor varieties. These are always a staple in my pantry for a quick bite.
