Every human
is powered by a beating heart.
Every heart exists
with warm flowing blood.
How could a person
be created
with infinite warmth,
then choose a life of frigid cold?
I have to tell myself
you are like this
of your own free will.
I cannot accept
it it natural.
I refuse to believe
the atoms
that made you this way
exist within me.
