“Emotional Misery”

These human emotions
are creating quite the commotion.
I wonder when I’ll receive my promotion
from lovestruck to clinically insane.
Put me out of my misery-
take these feelings out of my chest.
Quiet down my heartbeat-
show some humanity.
My lungs can’t take this pressure.
There better be a grand treasure
at the end of this journey.
