My Thoughts:
I picked up a copy of A Court of Thorns and Roses due to its popularity on social media and some of my favorite YouTubers raving about it. The story reminded me of a cross between Twilight and The Hunger Games or a modern Beauty and the Beast . With curses, magic, and forbidden territories, this story keeps you on your toes.
If you are a fan of fantasy stories with elaborate world building and a focus on developing relationships between characters, you will love this story. Unfortunately, due to the level of sexual content I have heard is included in the later books of this series, I cannot see myself finishing the series.
Though not very graphic, this book already included some sexual content between a teenager and an immortal being that felt uncomfortable for me to read personally.
All in all the book was well written and interesting. The ending felt predictable, but it sets up for a sequel nicely.
