Christmas Gift Ideas for Book Lovers

Christmas Gift Ideas for Book Lovers

With Christmas rapidly approaching, you may find yourself feeling panicked and struggling to come up with ideas for the loved ones on your list. If you have a bookworm that you still have to shop for, here are some quick gift ideas they are sure to love.

  1. E-Reader

An e-reader is a fantastic investment for those who love reading but lack space in their bedrooms. Whether you opt for a Kindle, iPad, or Nook, the book lover on your list will love this gift. I was gifted a Nook when I was in elementary school and it still works like new! These tablets range from $40 up to hundreds, so there is wiggle room for any budget you are working with.

  1. Book light

You can pick up a book light for around $10 just about anywhere. These lights may seem small, but they make all the difference. There is nothing worse than squinting to read in a dim corner of the room when you are hooked in a good book.

  1. Book Cart

Rolling book carts have become incredibly popular this year. They run for around $30-$40 at Michaels, Target, or Walmart. These are convenient, portable, and great substitutes for traditional bookshelves.

  1. Bookmark

Whether you buy a bookmark at the store or make one yourself, readers can never have too many bookmarks. This gift idea allows you to get as creative as you would like.

  1. Gift Card

If you are in a real pinch, gift cards are always a great gift. Pick up a gift card for Barnes and Noble, Target, or whatever store the individual on your list typically shops for books. Even if there is not a Barnes and Noble in your area, the gift cards can be used for online purchases. You can also get a gift card for a coffee shop if your person is a coffee fanatic and enjoys reading at cafes.

  1. A book you love

As a reader, there is nothing better than reading a book that has been recommended to me. If you have a favorite book, gift the person on your list a copy. This allows you to discuss the book together.

  1. Candles

Candles are another great gift idea for readers. Lighting a candle before a reading session sets the mood. You can splurge and pick up a candle at Yankee Candle or Bath and Body Works, but there are cheaper options at Walmart that smell just as lovely. My favorite scents are vanilla and apple cinnamon.

  1. Blankets

Last but not least, you can gift the reader on your list a cozy throw blanket. It is important to be comfortable when you are planning on reading for hours. A nice blanket makes all the difference.

I hope this helps! If you have any ideas that I did not mention above, feel free to write any recommendations in the comments!
