“Childhood Fables”

The tortoise and the hare-
what a beautiful tale
of taking life at your own pace;
not following peer pressure’s tail.
There are too many people in the world
to fit into a “one size fits all” mold.
How peculiar is it
to voluntarily rush down a paved road
when there is an undisturbed scenic route.
It is beyond rude
to ignore Mother Nature’s beauty.
The tortoise
had a lot of knowledge under his shell
The hare
should beware-
there are many experiences
he will sadly be missing out on.
