“Misused Creativity”

Write a letter,
fold it into a paper airplane.
Sing a song
proudly on center stage.
Be as creative as you wish-
it changes nothing.
The content is the same.
The truth remains unchanged.
In an alternate universe,
my reaction may be different.
If my naivety remained intact,
I may have fallen for it
and pleased you with how I react.
Unfortunately
too much as happened in this life
for that dream to come true.
