“Resolutions”

I have a New Years resolution for you:
find a hobby.
Stalking is not a skill to add to your resume.
Plotting revenge does nothing to further your life.
Vigilantes only succeed
in fictional comic book worlds
where authors can carefully disguise
their petty strife
as bravery behind their strikes.
Find something that takes your anger
and transforms it into something useful.
Volunteer your time-
your energy is better used
for the good of the community.
The world is wide open;
as far as the eye can see.
All I ask
is you finally
leave
me
be.
