“Possibilities”

I try to expect the unexpected,
but there are too many possibilities.
My imagination
is not strong enough to consider
the countless variables.
My heart
is too fragile to face
the chance of darkness.
Overthinking every moment
is exhausting.
Living in the present
is impossible
when you are guessing
what may happen
in three days time.
It’s too much.
It’s all too much.
