“In The Dark”
By Ashley O’Hare
When you are stuck in the
dark,
it is a natural reaction to search for
light.
There is safety in the
known.
Unease comes with the
hidden.
However,
if you turn to your remaining senses,
you may find that
the monsters generally do not
hide under your bed at night-
they make their stand
under your nose in broad daylight.
