“The Shore”

With sand between my toes,
I’ll stand along the shore
and take in the sunset;
the peaceful proof
that endings hold beauty too.
Shivering in the ocean breeze,
my skin reminds me
that I am still alive.
I wish my camera
could capture more
than the impending storm.
I want to share
the sea air
with the world;
to share its healing properties
with the general population.
It’s a shame
to keep it all
for myself.
