“Harsh Reality”

My heart is too fragile
for what I wish to accomplish.
This attention
is far from what I wanted.
Turn around-
there is nothing to see now.
Leave me be-
I need time to gather
my guts together.
I wasn’t prepared
for what I had to share.
Every person I previously encountered
saw my feelings as something to spare.
Silly me-
I put my faith in humanity.
Don’t worry-
it won’t happen again.
